Sweet,
funny, beautiful Sophie – as you can see she’s got her make-up
on and she’s ready for anything. Unfortunately, she has no place
to go! If you’re looking for a lovely lady to accompany you on
outings why not consider Sophie?? And she’s more than just a
pretty face – this girl is a bright, funny, vivacious dog who so
badly wants to have a family to call her own!
HHPBR placed Sophie in a local home at 12
weeks of age. She was a much loved and well cared for family
member until recently, when through no fault of her own she
suddenly found herself homeless again. And while we’re always
happy to welcome back any HHPBR alumni should they find
themselves in a tight spot, we don’t think Sophie is pleased to
be back with us. She has had a hard time adjusting to being just
“one of the gang” again and clearly she’s a little lonely for
more one-on-one time than a rescue environment can provide. Poor
Sophie has tried very hard to be a good sport about it but it’s
evident that she longs to have a home of her own again.
Sophie was raised in a home with children
and grandchildren of all ages so she will be suitable for
families both large and small. Very small children might find
her constantly wagging tail to be a bit of a hazard but other
than that we would feel comfortable placing this girl with
people of all ages. Sophie’s basic training (sit, down, stay)
has been started but we would like for her new family to commit
to completing her education with at least a set of basic
obedience classes.
Sophie
has moderate activity level so her new home should have either a
fenced in yard or be willing to make sure that they have
adequate time to give her a nice walk every day. She is good
with other dogs so long as they don’t mind her being in charge.
A home with an easy-going male dog would be a great match for
Sophie. Plus there is always the fact that 2 playing dogs will
soon equal 2 tired dogs and we all know that a tired dog is a
good dog!
Sophie is already fully house broken
and crate trained and so long as you provide some toys
for her she is not at all destructive with things that are not
hers. All poor Sophie needs now is a family willing to give her
another chance at the great life she deserves. Why not take a
few moments to consider if you have room in your home and your
heart for this deserving dog! |
